Why the name Empire?
Because the word 'empire' is associated with power and domination. Midgar was ShinRa's empire, and Rufus was the head of ShinRa. Plus, I like the way the word sounds.

Some of the things you wrote about Rufus are wrong.
Um..No, they're just my opinions. Square left a lot of Rufus' character to the imagination. My ideas may differ some from yours, but this is my site, so get over it.
